Dear McKinney Pi Phis,
What a great convention as we Trailblazed at the Gaylord Texan. It was truly an honor to represent the McKinney, TX Alumnae Group and I will never forget the experience. I really appreciate all of you who helped with convention. We really helped make such a positive impact on visiting Pi Phis and enjoyed our sisterhood at the same time!
Attending convention is an experience I will never forget. “Pi Phi Bling” was everywhere, old songs were sung, new friends were made, old friends became more dear, excellent guest speakers were heard and yummy food was enjoyed! I only hope to make more conventions in the coming years.
We have retained our Excellence in Communication and International Club of Excellence Awards. Go Pi Phis!
There were several amendments brought to convention to be voted on by the attending delegates. Two significant ones were 1) changing from an Alumnae Club to an Alumnae Group and 2) Grand Council retains their authority on financial matters. The latter was specific to the properties of Arrowmont & Holt House.

The Fraternity continues its support of First Book and an additional $200,000 was donated to them at convention by the Fraternity and the Foundation. First Book will remain a focus at the local level, for alumnae groups and collegiate chapters, as we work toward our goals to combat illiteracy.
M-I-C-K-E-Y-M-O-U-S-E…Convention 2011 will take place in Orlando, FL at Hilton Walt Disney World.
Thanks, again, for allowing me to represent such a great group of women at convention. I look forward to another GREAT year in McKinney
