Thanks to the Studio ArtHouse in McKinney, Art Angel's Day will be held October 4, 2008 from 1-6 pm and will support Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts. This year's project is a Turkey Handprints Plaque, as shown above, and is open to all ages.
Create a one of a kind Thanksgiving keepsake and preserve your children's handprints by pressing them into wet clay, then use tools and stamps to turn them into festive turkeys. After firing, ArtHouse staff will glaze each one with autumnal colors in plenty of time for the holiday. Make one per child, or fit the whole family onto one! This will make a wonderful gift for grandparents or a family keepsake to display among your fall decorations.
The cost will be $30 per plaque. Approximate size: 11"x 13". No appointment is necessary.
