What a great event we had on Monday night! Our Grand President Emily Tarr spoke to us at our annual Founders' Day celebration about Then and Now and the changes that our beloved Pi Beta Phi has gone through.Did you know there was a time when the women at Monmouth College were told to choose either Pi Phi or getting their education and in protest many of them left school? The women of that day showed how strong the bonds of Pi Phi are and we were proud to honor our founders and all of the women that came before us.
It also happened to be our club's 5 year anniversary. Happy Birthday McKinney Area Pi Phis. We sure have come a long way in a short period of time thanks to the dedication of so many. But, particularly for this event, the credit goes to Jill Heidorf who deserves a major shout-out. The whole night was wonderful and personified the ideal of sincere friendship. Thanks Jill for all of your hard work.
